Police began searching the River Thames on Saturday morning for the body of the Clapham alkali attack suspect Abdul Ezedi. Detectives believe Ezedi, 35, jumped into the water from Chelsea Bridge about four hours after he threw a corrosive substance over a mother and her two children. Ezedi, whose face was disfigured in the attack, was seen on CCTV looking over the edge of the railings at the centre of the bridge before disappearing from view at around 11.27pm on January 31. Police said his behaviour “visibly changes” and he was not seen leaving the area after that time.
