Premature babies evacuated from Al Shifa hospital in Gaza

All 31 premature babies were evacuated from Al-Shifa hospital, the World Health Organisation has said. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director General of the WHO, has confirmed earlier reports that 31 premature babies were evacuated from Al Shifa hospital earlier today. On Saturday, a World Health Organisation team visiting Gaza’s largest hospital said 32 babies were among scores of critically ill patients stranded, where Israeli forces have been operating since last week. They described the hospital as a “death zone.” It was not immediately possible to resolve the discrepancy in the numbers. There was no immediate comment from the WHO.
