Rishi Sunak pledges to ban 'dangerous' XL bully dogs
Rishi Sunak has promised to ban the American XL bully dog by the end of the year, after a man was killed in another suspected attack. The prime minister said he was horrified by recent maulings and said the breed was a “danger to our communities”. On Thursday a man was mauled to death in Staffordshire by two dogs. It is not yet clear which of the dogs killed him but in a video posted on Twitter/X, Sunak condemned the latest attack and promised to ban the XL bully by the end of the year under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
