RUSSIA has reportedly intensified its attacks on the Azovstal steel plant in Ukraine's Black Sea port city of Mariupol. Footage on Thursday, May 5, shows smokes rising over the steel plant, where hundreds of civilians were stranded for nearly two months. On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a three-day cease-fire for evacuation of civilians from the steel plant. In a statement, the ministry said an evacuation corridor will be opened in the Azovstal area, in accordance with a decision taken by the Russian administration "based on humanitarian principles."
