Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has said he is confident no Covid rules were broken when asked about police opting to investigate claims he breached lockdown rules in April 2021 by drinking beer with colleagues. Mr Starmer insisted on Friday that no rules were breached as he was with colleagues "working in the office", in line with Covid guidelines in place at the time. "I was working, I stopped for something to eat - no party, no breach of the rules," he said. "I understand the police need to do their job, but I'm confident there was no breach of the rules." • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on Twitter: https://twitter.com/itvnews Follow ITV News on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itvnews/
