Texas school shooting - Teen shot 4 people
A fight at a Texas high school ended in gunfire on Wednesday morning, sending multiple people to a hospital before police took the suspect into custody. At least two of the four injured people, one of whom did not require hospitalization, suffered gunshot wounds, police said. Three were students at Timberview High School in Arlington, Texas, police said. "I just want to emphasise that this is not a random act of violence," Arlington Assistant Police Chief Kevin Kolbye told reporters. "What we believe happened, preliminarily, is that there was a fight between a student and another individual in a class and a gun was used, and there are four victims," he said. Police quickly identified the 18-year-old suspect who left the school's sprawling campus by car, and was later taken into custody. The incident prompted a lockdown and a massive police response to secure the building, and students were placed on buses and taken off the campus.
