Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has received criticism for his planned spending cuts following Thursday’s Autumn Budget. "Delaying all of the difficult decisions until after the next general election does cast doubt on the credibility of these plans. The tight spending plans post-2025, in particular, may stretch credulity," said Institute for Fiscal Studies director Paul Johnson. The latest polls revealed Labour continues to grow on its popularity with 50% saying they would vote in Keir Starmer's party in the next general election, according to PA.
