When ministers say, as they did again today, they aren't going to bring in Plan B, are they taking a bold decision, or are they in fact seeing some scientific predictions that the rest of us are not? Some modelling is now thought to show that corona virus cases will soon start to fall. In fact they were back down to 36,000. One day is of course no guide. Perhaps no single scientist is either, but Professor John Edmunds advises ministers.
