The US President Joe Biden has promised more military aid to Ukraine at the G7 summit of western leaders in Japan. Mr Biden announced military assistance worth up to $375m. He told Ukraine’s President Zelensky who attended the summit that the US was doing everything it could to strengthen Ukraine’s defences in its war with Russia. The new military support includes ammunition, artillery and armoured vehicles. President Biden also confirmed that he would allow European allies to provide US-built F16 military jets to Ukraine.
