Rishi Sunak is facing Sir Keir Starmer at Prime Minister’s Questions amid mounting concerns over widespread public sector strike action this winter. A pay rise in line with inflation for the whole of the public sector would cost the Government £28 billion, the Health Secretary has said. Steve Barclay said union pay demands for double digit pay rises are "not reasonable" as he signalled the Government is not willing to improve on the pay offers which have already been made.
