Slavisa Jokanovic is looking for a new club after being dismissed by Dynamo Moscow. The 54-year-old had spent just short of a year in charge of the Russian side.

His time in Moscow came to an end this week after a 3-0 home defeat to Ahkmat, a third loss in four games.

It comes after they were knocked out of the cup on penalties to Akron and had dropped to seventh in the table. There were also complaints about his style of play, which has been described as 'terrible' by one journalist.

The latest defeat was the last straw for the board. After the game, director Dmitry Gafin said the head coach 'will not prepare the team for the next game'.

A statement on the club's website reads: "Pavel Alpatov will prepare the team for upcoming matches. The 32-year-old Alpatov was part of Sandro Schwarz and Slavisa Jokanovic's coaching staffs.

"Before that appointment he worked at Lev Yashin Dynamo Academy and Dynamo-2. The senior coach of the youth team Pavel Figon will assist him in the first team.

"Today Dynamo players held a recovery training session under Alpatov's stewardship, and from tomorrow they will start preparing for Saturday's derby against Torpedo."

Jokanovic's time at Sheffield United also lasted less than a year. He was dismissed in November after being appointed in the summer following relegation from the Premier League.

United were 16th in the table with just six wins when he was replaced by current Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom.
