Ronan Keating reacts to son's Love Island debut and says he's 'nervous'

Boyzone singer Ronan Keating has opened up about his son Jack Keating joining the Casa Amor line-up for the 2022 series of Love Island. The 23-year-old has made his debut on the ITV2 dating show, alongside five more bombshells. You can read more on the new contestants here.

And as Jack prepares to settle into the villa, his dad Ronan has admitted he's been "nervous as hell" for his son. Speaking to MailOnline, the Life Is A Rollercoaster singer said: "I won't lie, I've been nervous as hell. When I saw him walk into the villa my heart was beating out of my chest."

He added: "I'm excited for him though, this is something he wanted to do, and I'll always support him and all my kids in their endeavours."

Ronan shares Jack, 23, Missy, 21, and Ali, 16, with ex-wife Yvonne Connolly. He has Cooper, five, and Coco, two, with his wife Storm.

It comes after the 45-year-old shared a sweet message on Instagram following his son's Love Island entrance. He told his followers in a video: "It's very very exciting because my eldest boy has been hiding away in Spain for the last couple of weeks. I'm sh*****g myself but I'm very excited for him, he's going to be amazing, he's got the biggest heart in the world."

Before entering the villa, Jack, who works in social media marketing, said: "My dad is a singer, Ronan Keating. He will be watching when I'm on it for sure. He's buzzing for me, me and my dad are very close, we’re best mates."

Asked how his friends and family would describe him, Jack added: "They’d definitely say I’m a fun, lively guy. I'm a great craic to be around, always up for a chat, always up for a bit of banter."
