Spoilers: Faith stuns Moira as she attacks Amelia in Emmerdale - but why?
There’s concern ahead for Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) in Emmerdale, as she starts behaving very strangely.
Recently, Faith has been focusing on building bridges with son Cain (Jeff Hordley) who continues to give her a frosty reception after years of resentment. There are many factors involved here, as Faith left Cain and his sister Chas (Lucy Pargeter) in the care of their alcoholic father Shadrach (Andy Devine) as children.
Years later, by the time the trio reunited and bonded again, Cain learned that his mum had kept the secret that he had a grown up son, Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) from him. Faith was sent away from the village in disgrace, and upon her return last year, things have remained difficult between her and Cain.
Now, after events took another turn the previous week, Cain is angrier than ever with his mother.
As he unleashes a tirade of abuse at Faith, Chas fails to back her up, telling her to get lost instead.
However, the family rift soon becomes the least of Faith’s troubles when she ends up in a shocking altercation. Suddenly needing to get somewhere fast, she becomes frustrated when the bus doesn’t arrive in the village.
A nearby Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) becomes Faith’s target as she picks a fight with the teen, who takes offence to whatever is is Faith says to her. But that’s not the end of the matter.
Hitting the self-destructive button, Faith loses her temper and grabs one of Amelia’s dumbbells. She throws the weight through the window of Dan’s (Liam Fox) door, much to the horror of those watching.
Faith’s daughter-in-law Moira is one of them, and she’s appalled over the other woman’s actions. But what exactly has caused Faith to behave so erratically?
She may be a rather wild character at times, but Faith still has her limits. So where has this sudden breaking point come from? Will Moira realise that something is very wrong?
