"Faces completely bloodied" in pro-Israel mob attack on UCLA Palestine encampment
“They threw a rock at my eye, they threw a hammer at my leg, and they slashed my arm, and then they pepper-sprayed me in the eyes.” A pro-Palestine protester says he was violently beaten by a group of a group of pro-Israel counter-protesters at the University of California (UCLA) Palestine encampment on Wednesday. Aidan Doyle, who attended the UCLA encampment for Palestine, says the pro-Israel mob tore down barricades, then pulled him into a circle and beat him up. Doyle says the mob was extremely violent and intentionally trying to agitate the pro-Palestine protesters. “I'm not even close to the worst of it,” he said. “I saw 19-year-old girls with their faces completely bloodied and beaten.” For over two weeks, UCLA, along with other US universities, have held significant protests against Israel’s war on Gaza, which has killed at least 34,500 Palestinians, most of them women and children.
