Former sub-postmaster Alan Bates has told the Post Office inquiry how he believes his former employer was after him "one way or another". Mr Bates claimed the Post Office wanted to "make a lesson" of his case. He was appointed sub-postmaster at Craig-y-Don, Llandudno in March 1998, but was forced to resign in November 2003, after Post Office management accused him of being responsible for financial losses at his local branch.
