Dan Walker offered Strictly Come Dancing tips by Boris Johnson

BBC Breakfast star Dan Walker was given some words of advice by Prime Minister Boris Johnson about his stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

Dan Walker appeared on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, with , to discuss his time on the dance competition so far.

And, earlier this week, taking a break from dance training Dan Walker, 44, who lives in Sheffield, interviewed the PM and the pair had a little bit of Strictly chat.

Dan, remaining relatively tight-lipped, said: “We did chat about Strictly, it is very weird to have a preamble with the Prime Minister and it came up.”

Straight after the interview, Dan, headed off to train for his upcoming foxtrot.

Dance partner Nadiya said: “Can you imagine interviewing the Prime Minister and then heading off to train the foxtrot?”

In his two appearances on Strictly, Dan and Nadiya, have scored 26 and 24.

“I’m still amazed we’re in double figures,” Dan said.

“I’m shaking my head, in disbelief, I’m loving every minute of it.”
