Lenny Rush made a cheeky jibe at Dec Donnelly on Saturday Night Takeaway, leaving Ant McPartlin in hysterics.

The young comedian is hosting tonight's edition of the ITV show, which comes to an end next week in sad news for Ant and Dec fans. Tonight, Lenny Rush stepped into the hot seat to host the show alongside the presenting duo.

As he welcomed Ant and Dec to the stage, Take That performed their hit track Shine to welcome everyone to the show. They then joined Lenny, where he revealed he had actually met Dec before.

He shared a snap of the pair of them together, with Dec posing next to Lenny in the photo. Making a joke about Dec's height, he said that Dec was standing up in the snap despite their very differing heights.

Fans loved seeing Lenny on the show, with one writing: "Lenny Rush is comedy gold love him #SaturdayNightTakeaway." A second added: "Love Lenny Rush. Let him host the whole show. #SaturdayNightTakeaway," as a third shared: "#SaturdayNightTakeaway LENNY RUSH I love him, what a lush lad." A fourth penned: "I LOVE LENNY #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

Ant and Dec will be resting the show after this series, which wraps next week. Speaking about the duo's decision to take a break from the show, Ant explained: "Part of the reason we’re pausing Takeaway is we need a break ourselves, and we need to spend some time with our family. We’ve both got children that we need to spend time with for a little bit."

"We need time to think and, and time to step back and look at the bigger picture and just see where we are now. Like I say, we’re turning 49, and what do we want to do next? What’s the next phase of our career?" he added, "And we’ve got lots of ideas and lots of offers on the table, lots of options of things we can do. But it’s working on what we do next and where the next chapter begins. So that’s what we’re gonna do when SNT is out of the way. We’ll sit down, take a bit of time, and re-evaluate everything."

Tonight, Take That are set to perform for a special end of the show show, whilst the celebrities will get Ant and Dec back when the roles are reversed for a special version of I'm A Celebrity, Get Out Of My Ear.
