Rotherham United v Cardiff City postponed after half-time downpour
Cardiff City's Championship match with Rotherham United was postponed two minutes into the second-half due to an unsafe pitch after a half-time downpour.
The Bluebirds took a first-half lead through Jaden Philogene in lovely conditions up in Yorkshire, however a huge bout of rain in the interval put paid to City continuing their performance in the second half.
Ground staff were called on to the pitch to try and mop away the standing water on the pitch, but after two separate inspections with referee Oliver Langford and managers Sabri Lamouchi and Matt Taylor, the game was postponed.
Rotherham fans cheered loudly, due to their team being behind, Bluebirds fans were up in arms.
