Strictly star Aljaž's movie debut cut from Matilda the Musical
Ex Strictly Come Dancing pro Aljaž Škorjanec's scenes appear to have been cut from Matilda The Musical.
While the dancer was never officially confirmed to be in the film, he was spotted on set alongside No Time to Die and Captain Marvel star Lashana Lynch in August last year.
The images showed Škorjanec in costume and driving a flashy red convertible. This followed rumours that he would be playing Mrs Wormwood's (Andrea Riseborough) dance partner Rudolpho.
In a recent interview with Radio Times, Riseborough revealed that several of her scenes were eventually cut from the film.
The scenes axed included the song 'Loud' which is sung by Mrs Wormwood and Rudolpho in the stage production of the musical. This would explain Škorjanec's supposed absence from the final cut of the film.
"There’s a big musical number that we shot [Loud] and which we worked on for three or four months, and which isn’t in the finished film," she said.
"That’s often the case with a musical film, but it was such a joy to do it and have that sort of fun."
