Sky News understands that a Cabinet Office report into lockdown-busting gatherings in Downing Street and Whitehall could still be published this week, despite an on-going police investigation. The Met Police, which is investigating whether anyone in government has broken the law, is understood not to have any objections to the report being made public. Yesterday it was reported that Boris Johnson had two birthday parties in Downing Street during the first COVID lockdown in June 2020.
