Victoria Beckham shares details on Brooklyn's wedding including David's speech

Victoria Beckham has shared she was "very emotional" as she watched her 'baby' Brooklyn get married. The former Spice Girl and husband David were proud parents as they watched their eldest son tie the knot in a fancy ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida in April.

Aspiring chef and photographer Brooklyn and actress Nicola exchanged vows in front of their star-studded guests at her billionaire financier dad Nelson's oceanfront estate. The nuptials came less than two years after the pair announced their engagement in July 2020 with a stunning photo taken by Brooklyn's little sister Harper Seven.

Brooklyn, 23, and Nicola, 27, have since been enjoying their life as newlyweds, recently making their first public appearance as married couple at the Met Gala before making a trip to the UK.

During a new interview with Grazia magazine, fashion designer Victoria revealed about her son and new daughter-in-law's big day: "It's a big deal, your child getting married. I was very emotional. David's speech was beautiful."

Spice Girls Mel B and Mel C, TV chef Gordon Ramsay, Serena and Venus Williams and Hollywood actress Eva Longoria were among the famous faces present at their wedding at the Peltz family estate. Vicotria shimmered on the arm of her former Manchester United and England footballer husband David in a sophisticated slip dress for the big day.

"It took me quite a while to figure out what I wanted to wear," the mother-of-four said of her outfit. "The day wasn't about me, it was about Brooklyn and Nicola. So I wanted to look appropriate, and really to be comfortable and to feel like myself."

The exquisite fabric for the gown was exclusively made at one of her favourite mills in Italy and the effect was metallic and liquid-like. Three types of laces were cut by hand and embroidered onto the dress in a 'labour of love' process meticulously carried out by six of Victoria's London atelier team.

Aside from the outfits and the ceremony itself, the Beckhams also enlisted the help of close family friend and their son Cruz Beckham's godfather Marc Anthony for the entertainment. The singer sang four songs, while DJ Fat Tony was in charge of the decks at the after-party.

"Marc and Fat Tony did an amazing job too – they always do," Victoria said. "It seems like yesterday that David was holding Brooklyn in his little purple cowboy hat and outfit at our wedding – now our baby is married."
