A review into the safeguarding of a one-year-old boy who was murdered by his prospective adoptive mother in Cumbria has found she deliberately misled professionals. Laura Castle was sentenced in May to at least 18 years in prison for killing Leiland-James Corkill in Barrow-in-Furness last January. An investigation has found that she had hidden her alcohol and anger management issues.
